Amanda Stone Talley

Amanda is a renowned contemporary artist whose works are celebrated for their vibrant energy, bold patterns, and intricate designs. With a unique ability to blend traditional techniques with modern aesthetics, Amanda creates pieces that captivate and inspire.

Amanda’s journey into the art world began at an early age in Louisiana. Raised in a region known for its rich cultural heritage, she pursued her passion for art by earning a BA from Mary Baldwin College and an MFA in painting from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). In 2000, Amanda returned to her hometown, settling in historic New Orleans, where she continues to create from her studio gallery.

Amanda’s work is uniquely identifiable, taking many forms, whether drawing, painting, or creating light boxes. Her process is centered around the movement and energy present in the moment of painting. Although her style is abstract-expressionistic, figures and forms frequently emerge from her reverberating compositions.

Inspired predominantly by the vibrant culture of New Orleans, Amanda’s use of color and lines reflects the lively spirit of the city. Each piece is completed in one session, capturing the essence of its creation. This approach lends her work a liveliness that has captivated collectors worldwide.

Amanda’s art graces the walls of private collections, corporate spaces, and galleries across the globe. She welcomes commissions, working closely with clients to create bespoke pieces that reflect their personal tastes and the unique character of their spaces. Whether it’s a statement piece for a living room, a focal point in a corporate office, or a serene addition to a private collection, Amanda’s art brings a touch of elegance and originality to any setting.

Painting, for me, is an exercise in the transmutation of light and energy into a three dimensional plane. The reaction of colors and action mark-making are intended to transport the viewer to a realm of undulating vibrational rhythms. Each painting represents my journey to a plane of consciousness that guides my brush and favors circular momentum. I offer my heart and hands to move in tandem with the consistent flow of intelligent infinity.  Inspiration is ever present and universal for those who choose to witness it. To create and to be a creative is the highest form of reciprocation to our creator.
